But Chris is already growing stronger...Like I said, for the most part little has changed in this very short time jump. But post-chapter eight Chris is no longer forced to only surface when Tom is on the brink of death. Gradually you'll see Chris toying with our hero, telling him the things he doesn't want to hear. I'm actually really excited to have Chris appear in the main story more and more often, he really contrasts Tom in some interesting ways.
Chris is pretty much always there now, usually as a kind of white noise that Tom can ignore, but when he's alone or is blinded by anger Chris really starts to force his way through. Chris cannot take Tom's body over at will, however, Tom still needs to be inches from death before our twisted little imaginary friend can shove him out of the way.
Oh, and if you can't tell this is a part of a group of comics that I inked by hand (I hope you can notice anyhow, as I think the digital ink is much nicer). School started to kick my ass a bit, so rather than cut down the comic I started to hand ink again, but now that I'm in a better place I've begun to ink digitally again...which looks so much nicer, in my opinion.
