Inking with the computer...

If you haven't noticed yet...I hope you did...but you may not have, I'm back to inking the comic on the computer! I prefer digital inking much more than doing it by hand...so much easier to make corrections, but previously it took me WAY too much time to do it with my old tablet. BUT, with a special thanks to the United States government, I've purchased a new tablet!! I'm not linking to the place I actually got it, while it was cheaper than from Wacom...it took TWO weeks to deliver when they said it would take four days, so they can go to hell.

But I finally got it and I've been cranking out the comics! It takes just about the same amount of time now to ink it digitally than it does to do it in the real world. So now I can work though the the comic properly and any stupid mistakes can be corrected with little to no work! So I feel the lines really start to clean up soon, the first few comics I did with it were a little rough, the pen is totally balanced differently than my last one, but now that I'm used to it I can fly with the thing!

This also brings me to my next point...I'm not bringing my new tablet with me to Connecticut...why? Because then I'd need to bring my scanner, then I would feel like I need crank out three full comics while I'm trying to visit family. Which is NO good. BUT, I intend to crank out a crap-load of scripts AND a bunch of base sketches (now called 'blues' because I use blue ink). Blues only take me half-an-hour to an hour depending on the complexity of the picture, so I'm hoping to get one or two done a day while I'm gone, because unlike the inking I can do the blues ANYWHERE, even in the car (though that's a bit harder).

But don't worry, when I come home I have nothing better to do than sit and ink and work on the comic...which makes me happy for various reasons...and depressed for other XD. But I figure even if I hang out with my friends I'll be able to finalize whatever I get done on vacation in a week or two. So there shouldn't be any interruption with the next story arc.

The reason for the filler next week is so that I don't have to worry about interrupting the next story arc midway. Because nothing annoys me more than when MY favorite webcomics have to pause to collect themselves...which I totally understand, after all, we all have lives outside of our hobbies. But it doesnt change the fact that I'm still sitting there going 'what the hell is going to happen!?' for a week as they get ahead. Heh...

Anyway, on Friday I'll be posting the schedules for the next two weeks.

-Peace
