On the new comic…

Ok, if you’ve scrolled down here you’ve decided you want some more information on the new comic…well…I’ll tell you in FAQ form (though they're all my questions).

What’s the update schedule of both comics going to be?
The PKF will drop to twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesday.
The new comic will come in at once a week, on Fridays. Keeping the schedule MWF, just with a different comic on Fridays. When I don’t have school (Winter and Summer) the PKF will return to three a week and the new comic will remain at One (maybe two…but no promises).

How long is this project? The PKF looks to be @#$%ing massive.
I have one book planned, and it’s only four chapters…and each chapter is only 15-25 comics long. So I’ll be done with the new comic rather quickly. Which is nice.

But I DO have two other books for the new comic I’d like to do. But after book one it could be over if I wanted. We’ll see how it’s received.

Why black and white?
Lots of reasons. But mostly a time thing. The new comic is meant to lessen my workload, not keep it the same. Also, while the PKF is full of colorful explosions and aliens…The new comic is not. Black and white is really more of a style choice than anything else.

What’s The new comic rated?
The internet doesn’t exactly ‘rate’ comics. I keep the PKF at PG-13ish because the comic was conceived as something for everyone…The new comic, not so much. While I’m against violence and fan-service for the sake of violence and fan-service…I’m less inclined to find other ways around it with the new comic.

Wait. What?
…The new comic’s rated ‘R’. Better?

That doesn’t mean the new comic is rated ‘Adult’. So no graphic nudity (if any). If you want that go track down Unca’ Ghastly and ask him to start doing comics again. Lol.

But I like the tone of the PKF!
So do I. But the new comic is decidedly darker. You’ve seen the dark side of the PKF with Chris…the new comic is full of things that are a wee bit creepy. But at the same time it’s by me…so I don’t get TOO dark and screwed up. It’s my nature. haha

Curse words?
The full rainbow of profanity will be included in the new comic. Including ‘F’ bombs…but since they aren’t edited, chances are I’ll be using them less. I think of the frequent cursing in the PKF as ‘bleeps’ and ‘bleeps’ make me laugh. >_>

Will I like the new comic?
I hope so. Did you read A Reaper Tale? That’s about the tone of the new comic…kind of…it’s hard to explain. But give it a few comics and we’ll see what you think. If the response is negative I’ll think about changing things around.

Well, I’m sold. When’s it start?
Early October (hoping for the first Friday) but until ComicGen approves the request for a new domain I may just post the new comic on the PKF for the first couple of weeks. We’ll see what happens.

I hope you’re all excited about the new comic…or at least not miserable about the PKF. It could be worse.
